AS TOURISM IN BIMINI CONTINUES TO RISE,

BIMINI BAY RESORT EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATE IN SPIRIT OF HOSPITALITY TRAINING

BIMINI, Bahamas, October 5, 2007 – On October 3 & 4, resort employees participated in informative Spirit of Hospitality Training courses led by the Ministry of Tourism, with the main focus of providing five-star quality service at the resort. Bimini Bay Resort invests much time and money into the training of its employees because exceptional service is the key to making Bimini the gateway to the Bahamas.

Bimini Bay Resort strives to educate its 150 plus Bahamian employees by training and rewarding them as much as possible, as many are new to the hospitality field. Different seminars included tips for improving service quality; skills for exceeding guest expectations; techniques on how to handle guest complaints effectively; five simple steps for delivering quality guest service; motivational techniques and listening to various testimonials from experienced industry employees. After completion of training sessions, resort employees received a certificate and lapel pin for their hard work, only further opening the door for them to excel in the hospitality industry.

As the resort continues to grow, more Bahamian employees will be hired and educated to work and achieve professional success within the industry, participating in many training programs like the Spirit of Hospitality Training courses.

The American Hotel and Lodging Association-Educational Institute (AHLA-EI) Spirit of Hospitality program is designed to teach hospitality employees in all departments how to increase guest satisfaction and improve guest relations.  The program teaches staff members to see things from the guest’s point of view, strive for service excellence and work as a team.  It enables employees to deliver quality guest services by providing them with.
